The Plaza Hotel and Casino is a historic Downtown Las Vegas casino. The Plaza opened in 1971 with over 500 rooms; it was huge for its time. It is built on the land where the original Las Vegas train station was located. It still has a rear entrance that would have direct access to the station platform, it was also originally called the Union Plaza.
It's a favorite of mine, I love the tower, the artwork that is down three sides, and the beautiful structure at the front that was originally a swimming pool but is now Oscar’s Steakhouse. It’s a feast for the eyes and senses.
There is a nod to the current CEO Jonathan Jossel (bottom left in the picture), there is a street sign that says Broad St, that’s a street in Birmingham where he attended university in the UK :^).
